For this series, rums or rum blends are sourced from various distilleries in the Caribbean and Americas, which then are tropical-aged before receiving a special finish in casks previously used for aging other spirits or wines. This unique finishing process enhances the flavor and adds an extra twist, resulting in a distinctive taste profile. These rums are available as part of the core range or in limited capacities as a special release.
The Jamaica Pot Still Rum is based on distillates from the Longpond and Clarendon distilleries, which are between 2 and 4 years old.
As with the previous Rum Cask Finishes of the first series, this bottling receives a post-maturation of 3 months in barrels that have already been used for rums before.
This rum is neither sweetened nor does it contain colouring.
Nose: Slightly dry, exotic fruits, pineapple.
Taste: Fruity, pineapple, hint of oak.
Finish: Long lasting.
