Ardbeg Corryvreckan

Ardbeg is considered "without doubt the most impressive distillery in the world". The house was founded in 1815 and could be saved in 1997 just before the closure of the company. The distillery is located on the storm-lashed, rugged and famous whisky island of Islay off the west coast of Scotland.

Tasting notes:

The second edition of the deliciously deep, powerfully peaty and wonderfully wild Corryvreckan. The name Corryvreckan comes from a sea vortex north of Islay. Only the bravest sailors dare to go there.

Wonderful aroma scents and a flood of strong peaty and peppery flavours come to you from a Corryvreckan barrel and can be found on the palate just like the salty seaweed flavour combined with lots of vanilla.

But beware: Corryvreckan, like the water vortex of the same name, is not for the weak-breasted!
