The Shin Blended Whisky is produced in Niigata, a major port city in Japan at the mouth of the Shinano River. Niigata is known for its three white treasures - snow, rice and sake - and is a center of traditional Japanese craftsmanship. The name "Shin" stands for integrity, a principle that is deeply rooted in the samurai ethos and forms the basis for this whisky.
This whisky is created from a careful selection of malt and grain whiskies matured in ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks. Under the direction of Master Distiller Ken Usami, the whiskies are married in a special cask made from Mizunara oak, a Japanese oak species that gives the whisky a distinctive woody complexity and spicy aromas. The whisky is bottled without artificial coloring, which underlines its natural purity and authentic quality.
The Shin Blended Whisky Mizunara Japanese Oak Finish is not only a tribute to Japanese tradition, but also a product that perfectly reflects the combination of ancient craftsmanship and modern production technology.

Tasting notes: Color: Light gold with warm, reddish reflections.
Nose: Complex aromas of fresh citrus fruits, spiced oak, cinnamon and a hint of dried berries. The Mizunara oak brings subtle notes of coconut and spiced herbs.
Taste: Full-bodied and harmonious, with a balance of fruity notes of plum, cherry and pear, combined with the warm oak spice of the Mizunara oak.
