The Slyrs distillery has been producing the first and only Upper Bavarian single malt whisky using the classic rough and fine distillation process since 1999. The name "Slyrs" is a pseudo-Gaelic variation of "Schliersee", the distillery's home town.
The SLYRS Single Malt Whisky Bavarian PEAT Cask Strength represents craftsmanship and regional authenticity. This whisky is distilled from local barley malt, which is kilned over a peat fire, and spring water from the Bavarian Alps. This process gives the whisky a unique and complex taste experience. The distillery plans to release further editions that will offer individual taste experiences.
These and future editions will continue and further develop the tradition and high quality standards of the Slyrs distillery in order to create an even more varied experience for whisky lovers. By combining traditional techniques with regional ingredients, Slyrs creates a product that enjoys both local ties and international recognition.
