The SHINOBU distillery, located in Niigata's coastal region of Japan, is surrounded by the "three white treasures" of snow, rice and sake. The SHINOBU pure malt whiskies are produced here under the direction of master blender Usami Ken.
The SHINOBU Pure Malt Whisky 10YO Lightly Peated matures for over a decade in sherry and bourbon hogshead casks before being finished in fine Mizunara oak, which has been known since the 1930s for its distinctive aromas of apples, pears, cloves and nutmeg. The light peat aromas enrich the SHINOBU 10YO with complex notes of seaweed and smoke.
All SHINOBU whiskies are unfiltered and free from colorants to preserve the natural complexity and depth.
