In the picturesque countryside of Riegersburg in Styria, Alois Gölles is the third generation to run the traditional family fruit-growing business. After graduating from the renowned Federal College for Wine and Fruit Growing in Klosterneuburg, he dedicated himself to refining his parents' harvest of apples, pears, plums and peaches. His entry into the distillation of fine brandies began in 1979, followed by the founding of his manufactory for high-quality vinegar in 1984. Today, the range includes around twenty fine brandies and just as many types of vinegar, which regularly receive recognition.
Ruotker's Wilhelm III. Whiskey is characterized by the use of the finest Scottish barley and undergoes a maturation process of 4 to 5 years in American white oak barrels. A special feature of this whiskey lies in its processing and distillation in Styria, which gives it a unique combination of traditional Scottish raw materials and Austrian craftsmanship.
