Rum Nation produces rums from different countries and regions, with each bottling reflecting the unique characteristics of its country of origin. The Rum Nation Rare Rums were launched in 1999 to showcase particularly rare and high-quality rums. These bottlings are produced by the independent bottler Rossi & Rossi in Italy, which is known for its expertise and high quality standards. By combining careful selection and traditional craftsmanship, Rum Nation creates rums that delight both connoisseurs and gourmets.
This molasses-based rum is distilled in Port Mourant in a traditional wooden pot still, which gives it its characteristic taste. After maturing in bourbon casks, it is finished in refill oloroso sherry casks, which rounds off its aromas. The rum is bottled without the addition of sugar or colorants, allowing it to retain its natural purity. With a limited edition of only 948 bottles, it is particularly exclusive and sought-after.
