The production of Rum Nation 3 Anos Ilha da Madeira Rum begins with the pressing of fresh sugar cane stalks in the mills. The sugar cane juice obtained ferments for 48 hours with the help of yeast before being distilled in three special Barbet copper column stills. Each of the 7.5-metre-high stills has 15 trays and varies in diameter, resulting in a variety of flavor profiles.
Distilled in 2015, this limited edition matured for three years in 225-liter French oak barrels. The distillery's proximity to the sea gives it a distinctive salinity that sets it apart from other rums. This rum is bottled without any additives such as sugar, caramel or artificial flavorings, which preserves its authentic quality and purity.
