The Reservoir Virginia Wheat Whiskey Batch 1 Year 2023 is a powerful yet smooth bottling from Reservoir Distillery, an independent craft distillery based in Richmond, Virginia (USA). This small-batch edition is part of the single-grain whiskey series, in which each type of grain is processed individually. The grain base used here consists of 100% local wheat, which gives the whiskey its characteristic mildness and creaminess.
It is matured for around a year in new, heavily burnt American white oak barrels. Despite the short maturation period, the intensive toasting of the barrels produces rich aromas and gives the whiskey a beautiful balance of softness, sweetness and woody notes. With an alcohol content of 50% by volume, it is bottled in small quantities, unfiltered and without additives - for a pure, unadulterated taste experience.
