The Pikesville brand has been around since 1895, and after frequent changes of ownership, Heaven Hill Distillery decided to purchase the old distillery. Straight Rye.
Rye Whiskey enthusiasts will be delighted by this latest offering from the well-respected Heaven Hill distillery. Made from a mash of 51% rye, 39% corn and 10% malted barley, Pikesville Rye is not as sharp as some other ryes; rather it has a rounded flavour with great depth, though it keeps the distinctive rye spiciness. It is aged for six years to produce a rich whiskey which clocks in at 110 proof. With first flavours of spice and dusty cocoa, followed by notes of honey, clove, and oak, Pikesville is a complex and satisfying rye whiskey best enjoyed neat or with just a few drops of water.
