The whisky distillery Old Raven is one of the pioneers in Austria. The distillery is located in a former Hungarian customs house in the Lafnitz valley. The water from the 98m deep "Rabenbrunnen" gives both the whisky and the in-house beer their unique taste. "Charly", a tamed raven that watches over the barrels, is a legend in the history of the distillery even in his lifetime. Old Raven is distilled 3 times, not cold filtered and also not coloured.
Only original casks from Spain and Kentucky were used for this Austrian single malt whisky. After 6 years of storage it reached its final maturity in June 2012 and was packed in its noble cask.
