Meikle Toir 5 Year Old Chinquapin is a peated Speyside single malt scotch that is matured in both bourbon and virgin Chinquapin oak casks. It has a sweet, smoky profile with notes of charred hazelnut, dark chocolate, cinnamon, and burnt molasses on the nose and palate. This is due to its use of mainland peat from St. Fergus and its fermentation process, which is aged in virgin Chinquapin oak barrels from the Northern Ozark region of Missouri.

Nose: Smoldering oak embers, burnt liquorice, and honey, with hints of ginger, butterscotch, and orange peel.
Palate: Dark chocolate, crème brûlée, and toasted almonds, leading to cinnamon, brittle toffee, aniseed, and campfire smoke.
