Cath-nah-aven pays homage to the great sherried whiskies from the banks of the river Spey. Our award-winning Vancouver Island distilled classic single malt is carefully crafted in premium Oloroso and Pedro Ximenex casks from Andalucia in Spain. Married by our Master Whiskymaker, this whisky reveals a complex red-berry, plum, and oak nose, enhancing the fruit, floral, and sea-breeze notes of our new-make.
On the palate, this classic single malt offers a rich sherried body with a creamy mouthfeel. Plums, raisins, and spices are complemented by tannins and oakwood spices, yielding to a backgroound of juicy malt barley. This finish is long and complex, with a hint of sea salt befitting our island location and a symphony of diverse flavours, inviting personal exploration.
