It was a boon for single malt Scotch lovers when Billy Walker and his team brought The GlenAllachie back into independent hands in 2017, making their robust Speyside whisky available in its purest form. For the GlenAllachie 2014/2023, this whisky was matured in an Oloroso sherry hogshead for nearly a decade. The interplay of oak and distillate produced a smooth, charismatic dram with notes of marzipan, cherry, and banana bread.
