Glen Garioch's The Renaissance series tells, in four chapters, about the differences that result from the maturing time.
The third chapter deals with the character of a 17-year-old whisky.
This 17 year old single malt matured in Bourbon and sherry barrels. All whiskies in the series were distilled all after 1997 - shortly before the distillery was closed.

Nose: Fruity, spicy, butterscotch, green apples, malt.
