Unpeated triple distilled, unpeated double distilled, and peated double distilled single malt – the Glasgow Distillery has them all. Now, the urban distillery is presenting a new series showcasing cask finishes that harmonize particularly well with one of its production styles. Each bottling will carry an age statement, which will be gradually increased in the coming years.
The series begins with the Glasgow 1770 6 y.o. – Ruby Port Cask Finish. This Lowland single malt spent almost half of its maturation time in finishing casks. From a total of four fresh and fruity Ruby Port hogsheads, a rich and fruit-forward limited release emerged, packed with notes of summer berries, vibrant vanilla, and a subtle hint of pink peppercorn spice.
