With a new release of small batches, the Glasgow Distillery is celebrating a triple premiere: The trio of whiskies, available in limited quantities, each matured for one year and ten months in different types of wine casks, all of which were used for the first time at the Lowland distillery.
Rediscover the urban distillery with the Glasgow 1770 – 2020/2025 – Constantia Wine Cask. Originally matured in bourbon barrels, this Lowland whisky enjoyed a long finish in South African Constantia dessert wine casks. A favorite for centuries – of figures such as Jane Austen and Napoleon Bonaparte – this sweet wine has only been produced again since the 1980s. It lends the single malt notes of fresh apricot, peach, and clementine, as well as Manuka honey and chocolate.
