Flora and Fauna, a nickname coined by the late whisky author Michael Jackson, refers to a themed series of single malt whisky bottlings released exclusively by certain distilleries. Each distillery was given a specific creature as a symbol, which could be seen on the ornately designed labels of each bottle. Over time, as some distilleries were closed, sold or commercialized, the range of flora and fauna dwindled. As a result, the remaining bottles became coveted collector's items.
An outstanding example of this range is the Dailuaine 16 Years Old, a complex single malt whisky. It combines sweet, full-bodied notes with a refreshing citrus freshness and was launched in 2021. This unusual combination of freshness and richness makes it a special experience. 43% ABV.
