Amrut Portonova is an unpeated Indian single malt whisky initially matured in new American oak and ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in once-used Portuguese port pipes before returning to ex-bourbon casks. Named after a town with Portuguese colonial history, it is bottled at a high 62.1% cask strength, showcasing an exotic and vibrant profile of raisins, vanilla, cherry liqueur, and spices, with a sweet and complex finish.
Nose: Thick, fruity, with notes of caramel and caramelized apple pie.
