The group was founded in 1948 by Mr. Radhakrishna Jagdale, initially as a small liquor blending and bottling plant.

Amrut Whisky prides itself on being the first single malt whisky from India. Its name means something like "nectar of the gods/life" and reflects the exceptional quality and enjoyment of this whisky.

This single malt matures in oak casks, is triple distilled and bottled without cold filtration in its natural color.
