The story of this single malt began in 1953 at the historic Strathisla distillery, one of Scotland’s oldest and most picturesque distilleries. Under the expert care of the renowned bottler Gordon & MacPhail, the spirit matured for an impressive 66 years in a first-fill sherry cask. This exceptionally long maturation in a sherry butt makes this "Private Collection" bottling an absolute rarity, with only 138 bottles in existence worldwide.

Visually, the whisky impresses with a deep, dark amber hue—achieved solely through intense contact with the wood, without the use of artificial coloring. On both the nose and the palate, it reveals an immense complexity attainable only through such an extended maturation period. Decades of aging in sherry casks shape its profile with a rich, aromatic structure; the whisky is bottled at a gentle 43.5% ABV and is non-chill filtered.
