For over 130 years, the family-owned company Gordon & MacPhail has dedicated itself to maturing Scotch spirits in its own casks. For this bottling from the Discovery range, a heavily peated spirit from the Bunnahabhain Distillery was selected—made from barley intensely kilned over peat fires. Ten years of maturation in carefully selected oak casks lend this golden-hued single malt its balanced structure and remarkable depth.

On the nose, an inviting bouquet unfolds with notes of soft vanilla, toffee, and nuances of light fruitcake, all enveloped by a distinct peat smoke. On the palate, the Islay character shines through with a subtle note of sea salt that harmonizes beautifully with candied citrus fruits and hints of liquorice. The finish is reminiscent of a slowly dying campfire, leaving a spicy warmth on the tongue.
