The WhistlePig distillery was founded in 2007 on an acquired farm and officially opened in 2015 after extensive renovation work. Master Distiller Dave Pickerell developed custom-made copper stills especially for the distillery, which are now in continuous operation seven days a week.

The WhistlePig 15 Year Straight Rye is one of the oldest whiskeys in the house and is one of the first to be finished in barrels made from the company’s own Vermont oak. This special finish in Vermont oak barrels, which lasts for three years, allows the whiskey to fully develop its aromas and develop a remarkable depth.
