Descripción
Tullibardine 225 Sauternes is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Tullibardine distillery in the Scottish village of Blackford in Perthshire. The distillery was founded in 1949 on the site of a former brewery and has been producing whisky ever since. In 2003, the distillery was saved from closure when a team of independent investors led by former investment banker Michael Beamish took it over. Since then, the Tullibardine distillery has grown in success and won many awards for its whiskies.
The Tullibardine Sauternes Finish receives additional maturation in Sauternes wine casks before bottling. These casks come from the renowned Chateau Suduiraut and have a capacity of 225 liters, as indicated by the number 225. The maturation in these casks lasts 12 months and contributes significantly to the development of the whisky.
This additional maturation period gives the Tullibardine Sauternes Finish its characteristic, intense golden color as well as a remarkable depth and complexity of taste. (automated translation)
