L’Absolu from the Savanna distillery in Réunion is an intriguing rum crafted from molasses and distilled using a column still. This rum is widely appreciated for its intricate balance of woody, red fruit, and herbal notes, further accentuated by hints of spice and licorice.

With the Savanna L’ Absolu 2024 rum connoisseurs will have the rare opportunity to taste some of the oldest Savanna stocks. Blended by Master Blender Thierry Grondin, the limited annual bottling expresses the distillery’s extensive know-how in blending rare rums – and gets the absolute best out of them.

Coming for 2024 four very old barrels, aged 14-16 years, as well as an eight-year-old barrel of Savannas High Ester Rum, MR, were used.The result is a little stronger than its predecessor. A full-bodied aroma of cake with caramelized apples and wood spices is complemented by chocolate and ends long and deliciously.

Matured in former Cognac and Muscatel Wine Casks
