Distilled just one year after the distillery’s famous straight-neck stills began production, this 1967 Loch Lomond was initially matured in a refill American oak hogshead, before being recasked into a refill European oak sherry hogshead in 1994 and bottled in 2022 at an impressive 54-years-old. More than half a century in oak has created a refined character with elegant aromas of crème caramel, vanilla pods, toasted oak, melted brown sugar, orange peel and marmalade that fill the nose. The palate brings notes of vibrant, tart pineapple and lemon zest, sweet honey, dried fruit, sultanas and raisins that fade into soft florals, green kiwi, warming oak, aniseed and cinnamon that linger in the finish.
