Langatun Distillery was founded in 1857 by Jakob Baumberger. The name of the distillery is the Celtic name for Langenthal, which is also the location of the distillery. In 2005, Hans Baumberger began producing handcrafted, smooth single malts. Today, the whiskey distillery is known as the largest distillery in Switzerland.
Langatun Old Crow matures in Red Wine Casks, which give it a fine smoky character.
