Descripción
The Highland Park distillery, which was founded in 1798 by Magnus Eunson, is now part of the renowned Edrington Group and is an important landmark in the Scottish whisky tradition. As Scotland’s most northerly whisky distillery, it is located in Kirkwall on the main island of Orkney, known as Mainland. The distillery’s historic buildings, which are listed on the Scottish Heritage List, bear witness to a long history and are an integral part of the region’s cultural landscape.
With a production capacity of around 2.5 million liters of whisky per year, Highland Park combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. One of the outstanding bottlings is the Viking Pride Travel Edition, which presents an 18-year-old single malt with an alcohol content of 43% vol.
For this exclusive edition, Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion selects up to 120 casks that have been matured for at least 18 years and carefully blends them to create a harmonious and complex flavor profile. This exceptional combination underlines the perfection and heritage of one of Scotland’s oldest and most important whisky distilleries. (automated translation)
