The Glenrothes 18 Years Old is an outstanding member of the Soleo Collection, which is characterized by its natural colouring and maturation in ex-sherry casks. The term «Soleo» refers to a traditional wine-making process in which the grapes are dried in the sun on mats until they turn into raisins.

This method contributes to the unique depth and complexity of the whisky by naturally transferring the rich, fruity sweetness of the sherry casks into the whisky, giving it its characteristic taste. (automated translation)
