Descripción
Glen Scotia whisky comes from the traditional Glen Scotia distillery, which was founded in 1832 and has been known for its fine single malts from Campbeltown for almost 200 years. The distillery, whose whiskies are prized for their proximity to the sea and the influence of the maritime environment, is located not far from the island of Islay and benefits from its unique coastal location. This special location gives the Glen Scotia whiskies a characteristic style that reflects the long tradition and unmistakable quality of the Campbeltown region.
The second edition of the Glen Scotia Signature Series, a strictly limited single malt Scotch whisky, was developed by the experienced Master Distiller Iain McAlister and reflects the special craftsmanship of the traditional distillery. After careful maturation in ex-bourbon casks, the whisky was given an additional finish of 12 months in first fill oloroso hogsheads, giving it a distinctive, intense depth.
The creation of this bottling was inspired by Campbeltown’s classic maritime style and skillfully combines an unmistakable spiciness with a hint of sweet character. In a small edition of only 860 bottles, the Glen Scotia Signature Series Edition No.2 offers an authentic whisky experience, as chill-filtration has been deliberately avoided. (automated translation)
