Descripción
Glen Scotia whisky is produced in the distillery of the same name, which was founded in Campbeltown in 1832 and can look back on almost 200 years of tradition in the production of high-quality single malts. The special location of the distillery, close to the sea and not far from the famous whisky island of Islay, shapes the unique character of the whiskies. Typical of Glen Scotia are maritime and salty notes, which clearly reflect the coastal climate and give the whiskies an unmistakable depth.
The whiskies in the new series are inspired by symbolic icons of the region. For the second bottling, a 14-year-old single malt whisky was selected that was finished in rare Barolo red wine casks. This special cask selection gives the whisky an extraordinary depth and complexity that makes it a rare treat. (automated translation)
