Descripción
Glen Garioch Distillery is a Scottish single malt whisky distillery located in the town of Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire, in the picturesque Highlands region. It is one of the oldest operating distilleries in Scotland and has a history dating back to 1797. The distillery takes its name from nearby Garioch Hill.
The whiskey is aged for at least 15 years so that it can develop complexity and depth. During this time, it matures exclusively in sherry casks sourced from Spain. The sherry casks are made of oak and previously enriched with wine, which gives the whiskey a rich and sweet influence. (automated translation)
