Descripción

Although there is no distillery near the ruins of Finlaggan Castle, this is the home of the Lord of the Isles.

These give their name to the fine malt whiskies produced by The Vintage Malt Whisky.

This whisky is reminiscent of the significant lake Loch Finlaggan on Islay, which is historically extremely significant for Scotland.

Loch Finlaggan encompasses 3 islands, including Eilean Mor, where the inauguration of the MacDonald Lords took place.

Tasting notes:

Colour: gold.

Nose: sweet peat smoke, hints of salt.

Taste: Spicy, slightly oily, peat, tar, iodine, sweet malt.

Finish: Long lasting, smoky.
