The Tomatin Distillery, located on the eastern edge of the Monadhliath Mountains, offers perfect conditions for whisky production. The water used to make Tomatin whisky comes from the Alt-na-Frith Burn, which flows through the nearby hills and is known for its purity.
Tomatin Cù Bòcan is a Highland single malt whisky from the Highland distillery Tomatin. The single malt is made from slightly smoky barley malt and distilled in limited batches during the winter months. Each of the bottlings: Signature, Creation #1, Creation #2, Creation #3, Creation #4, Creation #5 and Creation #6 is a unique experience of smoky finesse. To bring out these exceptional flavors in the whisky, each bottling of Cù Bòcan is matured in different barrel combinations.
Creation #6 is best described with the words RUM + RAISIN. This unique blend combines the rich influences of Pedro Ximénez casks and Jamaican rum casks with our signature smoky spirit. The result is an incomparable taste experience that captivates with its complex and deep aromas.
During maturation in Pedro Ximénez and Jamaican rum casks, aromas develop that are reminiscent of roasted Jamaican ginger cake, bonfire toffee, spiced plum jam, amaretto cherries and Daim Bar. (automated translation)
