Descripción
The Caperdonich Distillery, built directly opposite the now renowned Glen Grant Distillery, was never able to fully emerge from its shadow and was thus given the unflattering nickname «Glen Grant No. 2». Despite its potential, the distillery never achieved the fame of its neighbor and was finally shut down and demolished in 2011.
Despite the end of its production, Caperdonich’s whiskies live on. Some independent bottlers still have stocks of casks from this now defunct distillery and occasionally bring limited editions to the market. The Caperdonich whisky that lives on in these tales has been matured for 18 years in American oak casks, giving it a particular depth and complexity.
These rare bottlings offer whisky lovers a unique opportunity to experience a piece of past distillation art. (automated translation)
