This Islay single malt has been matured for five years in a blend of first-fill bourbon casks and re-charred ex-bourbon casks, extracting maximum flavors from the wood. The Concerto barley used, which was grown on the Scottish mainland, enhances the powerful taste, while the particularly heavily peated malt lends a smoky intensity. Distilled in 2018 from the 2017 harvest, Octomore 15.1 embodies the essence of Octomore’s innovative and uncompromising approach to whisky.
