The Edradour Distillery, whose history is as diverse as its range, was once even owned by the New York mafia. Today it is run by Andrew Symington, the founder of Signatory Vintage. As an independent Highland distillery, it relies on traditional production methods and uses equipment from the 19th century to produce handcrafted premium single malts. Its diverse portfolio includes whiskies with exceptional cask finishes and bottlings made from malt with a minimum smoke content of 50 ppm.

The new batch of Ballechin 18 Years Old has been enriched by the combination of bourbon and sherry casks, bringing additional complexity to the maturation process. The long maturation allows for a successful fusion of intense peat smoke and spicy wood notes, which shapes the character of the Highland single malt.
