Descripción

«Ardbeg» comes from the Gaelic language and means translated as «small hill».

The distillery is located on the south coast of the whisky region Islay.

This Ardbeg whisky is named after a very remote and lonely area with the cape «Mull of Oa», which is a headland along the island.

The special thing about this whisky is definitely its maturation before marriage.

The whiskies it contains are aged in the sweetish PX sherry cask, the spicy Virgin Oak cask and the American oak cask.

Tasting notes:

Colour: Bright gold.

Nose: sweet, warming, peaty, smoked herbs, tar, toffee, butterscotch, aniseed, fennel, lemons, dates, peaches, bananas.

Taste: Dry, smoky, nutty, smoky tea leaves, grilled artichokes, nutmeg, cinnamon, milk chocolate, syrup, aniseed.

Finish: Long lasting, slightly sweet, floral overtones.
