James Fleming founded the Aberlour Distillery in 1879 in the heart of Speyside, a region renowned worldwide for its first-class whiskies. The location, picturesquely situated at the confluence of the Lour Burn and the River Spey and nestled in the impressive landscape of Ben Rinnes, was carefully chosen. The crystal clear, soft spring water, which flows over the pink granite of Ben Rinnes and comes from nearby springs, gives Aberlour whisky its unmistakable character.
Aberlour CASG ANNAMH has a Gaelic name that can be translated as «rare cask». This whisky is made from a limited selection of hand-picked casks and deliberately avoids any indication of age in order to focus entirely on the aromas and taste. It is matured in ex-Oloroso sherry casks made from European oak, which gives the whisky its deep, complex notes. To preserve the natural characteristics of the whisky, it is bottled without chill-filtration and without the addition of colorants. (automated translation)
