At the confluence of the Northern and Western Highlands of Scotland, surrounded by a striking mountainous landscape, lies Loch Lomond, the country’s largest lake. Near this loch, in the town of Alexandria at its southern end, stands the Loch Lomond Distillery. Its geographical proximity to the Atlantic coast and the mountains of the Western Highlands influences the flavour of the malt whisky produced there, which is distilled using traditional methods passed down through the generations.

In the early 1990s, a modern grain distillery was built alongside the traditional malt distillery.

Loch Lomond is therefore the only distillery in Scotland to produce both grain and malt whisky at the same site.

The Loch Lomond 30 Years Old undergoes careful maturation in American oak casks, followed by a finish in equal parts first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. Master Blender Michael Henry personally oversees the blending of the malts to achieve unrivalled complexity. To preserve the whisky’s authenticity and natural flavour, chill filtration is deliberately avoided.
