The story of the Kyrö Distillery began in a remarkably unconventional setting—a sauna in Isokyrö—where five friends developed the vision of a purely Finnish whisky. The spirit is crafted from 100% rye, malted and smoked over alder wood according to ancient tradition, lending it a distinctive aromatic signature. Following distillation in copper stills, the spirit was aged in American oak casks to marry the nuances of the grain with notes of wood.
