The Glenlivet distillery—a defining name in Scotland’s Speyside region—provides the foundation for this whisky, which was distilled in 2006 and bottled by Signatory Vintage. It matured for nearly two decades in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt, a cask that had already imparted its characteristic sherry influence. Maturation in Speyside—renowned for its temperate climate—gives the whisky a harmonious balance of fruit, spice, and cask character.

In the glass, the whisky displays a warm ochre hue that visually hints at its sherry-influenced maturation. The nose opens with dark dried fruits—plums and figs—underpinned by nutty sweetness, vanilla, and a touch of cinnamon. On the palate, a full-bodied sherry sweetness follows, accompanied by malty undertones, nutmeg, and orange zest; the finish is long-lasting and spicy, featuring cocoa, dried fruits, and a delicate oak bitterness. The 60.3% ABV is noticeable yet harmoniously integrated.
