Created under the guidance of Master Distiller Billy Walker, this single malt was distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2026 after ten years of maturation. The name "Sinteis"—Gaelic for "synthesis"—perfectly reflects its character: the spirit initially matured in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks before undergoing a distinctive finish in Mongolian virgin oak. Known for its exceptionally fine grain, this rare wood imparts extraordinary depth and an elegant spiciness that harmonizes beautifully with the distillery's signature fruity profile.

This single malt presents a deep copper hue and immediately reveals an opulent bouquet of freshly baked pastries, butterscotch, and brandy-soaked fruits on the nose. Dark cocoa and molasses meet the subtle spiciness of candied ginger and cinnamon. On the palate, the full power of the 58.5% ABV cask strength shines through: sweet, candied hazelnuts and rich plum syrup blend with baked oranges and creamy vanilla. Nuances of mocha, Manuka honey, and fig jam create a complex, full-bodied mouthfeel that leads into a long-lasting, spicy-sweet finish.

Mongolian virgin oak casks, crafted from Quercus mongolica, are hard to source and unforgiving in character. Consequently, this wood type has remained largely unexplored in Scotch whisky. The oak is scarce in nature, having to grow for more than a century and be naturally felled before it can be used commercially. Sourced from forests in East Asia and noted for its tight grain structure and remarkable density, the wood reveals rich caramel, subtle sandalwood and oriental incense nuances.
