Founded in 2009 in Garðabær, the Eimverk Distillery is dedicated to producing premium whisky from locally grown Icelandic barley. Following an initial maturation period in American oak casks, this single malt acquires its distinctive profile through a finish in Icelandic birch wood. As a 2023 single-cask bottling, the whisky remains completely natural—unfiltered and free from added coloring—a quality reflected in its honest, amber-gold hue.

On the nose, a multi-layered interplay unfolds, featuring fragrant spring meadows, heather honey, and fresh coniferous notes, underscored by anise and juicy lemon. On the palate, the whisky—bottled at a robust 47% ABV—is full-bodied, revealing complex notes of fennel, thyme, and sweet maple syrup. The medium-length finish concludes elegantly with nuances of toasted bread and a delicate, spicy herbal character.
