Founded in 2009 in Garðabær, the Eimverk Distillery consistently relies on local resources. This whisky is made exclusively from Icelandic rye grown on the family farm at the foot of the Hekla volcano. Following distillation in 2019, the spirit matured in virgin oak barrels, exposed to the harsh northern climate inside an unheated barn. This inaugural edition of Eth Rye—named after the distinctive letter found in Icelandic sagas—comes from a limited selection of just 20 casks.
