The distillery—now often known as Braeval—bottled this "Rare Release" under its original name, Braes of Glenlivet. The water for this single malt comes from the Preenie Well, which rises deep within the region's hills and forms the foundation of the whisky's smooth character. It was matured exclusively in first-fill American oak barrels, which imparted the spirit's characteristic structure and depth. Bottled at 48% ABV, it was deliberately left non-chill filtered to preserve the whisky's full texture and natural oils.
