The Blair Athol distillery, located in picturesque Pitlochry, produced the spirit in December 2015; it was then allowed to mature for over a decade until its completion in April 2026. Renowned independent bottler Signatory Vintage selected premium first-fill Oloroso sherry butts for the final stage of maturation to impart an added layer of complexity to the whisky. Vatted from just four selected casks (Casks #2, 6, 7, and 8), this limited bottling showcases the unfiltered power and craftsmanship for which Signatory is known.In the glass, the malt displays a deep amber hue, a color derived solely from natural interaction with the wood. The bouquet captivates with notes of ripe dark fruit and fine chocolate, underscored by a subtle hint of freshly baked pastries. On the palate—at a robust 50.8% ABV—a harmonious balance unfolds between characteristic sherry sweetness and dry oak spice, leading into a long-lasting, intense finish.
