For this twelfth edition of the "100 Proof Exceptional Cask" series, the renowned independent bottler Signatory Vintage selected exclusively first-fill Oloroso sherry butts. These casks have imparted immense aromatic depth to the single malt since its distillation in 2007, while bottling at 57.1% ABV—the historical equivalent of 100 proof—preserves the whisky's full, unadulterated structure.

The Blair Athol Distillery, located in Pitlochry in the Scottish Highlands, is known for full-bodied, spicy whiskies with a nutty character.
