Deeply rooted in Islay’s maritime landscape, the spirit produced at Ardnahoe draws upon the Laing family’s more than 75 years of industry experience. For the Chairman’s Selection, founder Stewart Laing personally selected a combination of bourbon and sherry casks to marry the island’s rugged soul with complex maturation. Production adheres to strictly traditional values, reflected in the decision to bottle this heavily peated single malt in its purest form—unfiltered and free of coloring—after six years of maturation.

The liquid appears in the glass with a warm honey hue, immediately releasing a distinctive aroma of dense peat smoke paired with a salty sea breeze and dark cocoa. On the palate, the full intensity of the 60.2% ABV cask strength unfolds: earthy smokiness meets the delicate sweetness of lemon curd, honeyed malt, and stewed plums. The finish is long and dry, characterized by ashy embers, freshly ground black pepper, and a hint of salted toffee.

Aroma: Intense peat smoke melds with a salty sea breeze and the bitter-edged nuances of dark cocoa. A powerful bouquet emerges, instantly capturing the spirit's maritime origins.
