The history of Botran Rum has its origins in Spain, where five brothers discovered their love of rum. In the 1940s, they embarked on a trip to Guatemala and eventually founded the Botran brand.

Botran Rum belongs to the Rare Blend Collection and is made from the Botran family’s extra old and finest rum reserves, which are extracted from sugar cane juice.

A characteristic feature of this rum is its maturation in five different types of oak barrels: Ex American Whisky, Ex American Whisky Medium Toasted, Ex Spanish Fortified Wine, Ex Portuguese Fortified Wine and Ex Agave Casks.

During bottling, the use of chill filtration is deliberately avoided in order to preserve the natural aromas of the product.
